Maine Outdoor Brands Trend Talk #2: What could Maine’s tourism season look like?
The Maine Center and Maine Outdoor Brands
- Tracy Michaud, chair of the Tourism and Hospitality program at the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School of Public Service
On everyone’s mind is, “What will Maine’s summer and fall tourism seasons look like? How can businesses prepare for and adapt to those potential trends?” While we don’t have all the answers yet, we can learn from historic events, review traveller sentiment research, and look at best practices from other countries with many tourism-dependent businesses.
Join us as Professor Tracy Michaud, chair of the Tourism and Hospitality program at the University of Southern Maine, discusses the travel and tourism trends we may see this summer and fall. The webinar will be recorded and made available on this webpage after the event.
About the series:
“Trend Talks” is a new Maine Outdoor Brands (MOB) series on outdoor industry trends and insights. The spring segment of the series will be delivered online to ensure the safety of participants and to make these topics as accessible as possible to businesses and organizations statewide. We hope to offer the fall segment of the series with both online and in-person options. This series was developed by MOB and the University of Maine Graduate and Professional Center.
