About the webinar series:

This free webinar series will help you gain a stronger understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic, its local and global impact, and recovery from it. The series is comprised of a series of lectures delivered by University of Maine System experts in the fields of public health, policy, law, and business. Each faculty member will present an aspect of the COVID-19 pandemic through their disciplinary lens, highlighting how we understand, track, mitigate, and recover from its impacts. These lectures are being presented as part of a new summer course at the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School of Public Service. You can participate in any and all of the webinars – whatever your schedule allows.

We are pleased to welcome special guests Dr. Nirav Shah, Director of the Maine CDC, and Dr. Dora Mills, Chief Health Improvement Officer at MaineHealth, to kickoff the series on June 1.
